5) of + 동명사
They are capable of handling these problems.(그들은 이 분제들을 해결할 수 있는 능력이 있다.)
I'm tired of eating hamburgers every lunch.(날마다 점심으로 햄버거를 먹는 것에 싫증이 난다.)
2. 자주 쓰이는 동명사 구문
1) go ～ing:～하러가다
I'm going fishing now. (나 지금 낚시하러 간다.)
Did you go dancing last night? (어젯밤에 춤추러 갔니?)
go boating(보트 타러가다),
go bowling(볼링 하러가다),
go camping(캠핑가다),
go dancing(춤추러가다),go shopping(쇼핑하러가다)
☞ 참고로 운동 경기가 올 때는 play 동사를 사용한다.
play soccer, play golf, play tennis
2) how about + ～ing ～하는 게 어때?
How about going to the movie tonight? (오늘밤 영화 보러 가는 게 어때?)
3) cannot help + ～ing ～하지 않을 수 가 없다.
Janet couldn't help laughing. (Janet은 웃지 않을 수가 없었다.)
4) It's no use + ～ing ～해 봐야 소용없다.
It is no use crying over split milk.(쏟아진 우유를 보고 울어봐야 소용없다.)
